Went to the RDAA Bounds Farm stretch of the Stour on a warm and clear evening with Pete.   This place is where I caught my first ever double figure barbel a couple of years ago, though not in the same swim as tonight.

Fished with boilies again, had a small run on them but nothing stuck. Pete had a couple of knocks too, again without success.  In the swim I used there was little weed problems and lots of water activity, from some larger looking fish, as well as lots of small fish, so I imagine a float would do well in the evenings here for them, provided they are not over interest in the abundance of insects.  Thank goodness for repellent!
