Lymington River: Lapping at the top of the bankside downstream from the railway bridge at Brock' to Roydon on 09/01/08.

River Avon: The Royalty water meadows flooded downstream of the by pass bridge on 10/01/08.  Water temperature 9.17 degrees centigrade ll at 9:00 am.

Tidal Stour: Margins very coloured,on 10/01/08 with mid stream clearer.  Heavy flow but levels contained.

Hants Avon 11/01/08:  Despite more rain just about within its banks at the Royalty, with the water temperature rising: 9:44 degrees centigrade as per Knapp Mill web-site at 9:00 am.

Tidal Stour 11/01/08:  Levels high and coloured.

Hants Avon 12/01/08: Water temperature down to 7.91 and levels high at the Royalty.

Stour at Throop 12/01/08: Six pikers, all with two rods out on the Mill Pond, no sign of the concrete platfoms down stream of New Weir and water about 2 foot up to the weir lip.  Coloured, high and pushing through below the weir, perhaps just about trottable above the weir.

Tidal Stour 12/01/08: Coloured high and I had a blank hour and a half trotting just before dusk at the top of the Pony Fields.  Good start to the year (again)!

Hants Avon 14/01/08:  Water temperature 9.45 for what it is worth.  Which isn't a lot; river flooded at Avon Causeway and at the Royalty.   The water meadows are living up to their name.

Tidal Stour 14/01/08:  the colour of milky tea.  There was one daffy geyser was sitting it out yeterday on the side stream at Iford, but quess he has been sectioned by now.  River over its banks at high tide.

Stour 14/01/08: Also yukky at Longham today.

Looks a good opportunity to file the stamp collection.
