River Conditions

10th December 2007 River Avon Back within its banks as I passed the Royalty at 08:15 on the way to work this morning, but high and coloured. Tidal Stour High, coloured but within its banks at Tuckton.  GG

Air temperature circa 3 degress centigrade, but the Avon at Christchurch, fining down, well within its banks and slate grey.  The Tidal Stour is carrying extra water, but well within its banks and slightly coloured.

Stour around Throop was coloured at weekend, but starting to slow down following the dryer spell we have been having.

Heavy frost on 20/12/07 (... though the frost was cruel, ... came an angler, stalking winter chub) but water clear and back to normal seasonal levels.   Cold front should turm towards mainland Europe at the weekend with rain and warmer weaether due.
