Fished the corner swim at the entrance near Pigs Shoot Lane, in the blistering heat and hangover that followed Englands exit in the world cup.

Best part about this swim in weather like this is you can at least get some shade from the sun throughout the day due to the surrounding undergrowth.

There were some other anglers about nearer Chibbs pool, but nice and peaceful here,  the water is very weedy near the bank though mid river was not so bad.  Despite seeing some large and small fish jumping on numerous occassions the only thing I managed to catch ( twice in successive casts actually ) was the tree.
