Wed 28th June 2006 7.50-10.15

Fished the same spot as yesterday after work.  This time no joy with the bites.  This may have been something to do with the otter that arrived in the river around 9pm from the road side of the bridge.

I thought I'd seen an otter last year near Bounds Farm, but on that occassion it was dark and could not be certain, this time however it was quite clear getting a sight of it until it saw me just near the rods when it dived away not to be seen for the remainer of the evening.  At first I had thought it to be a fish/bird that was splashing about, but it was a adult otter.

A great sight to see in the wild, though am not sure what the fish make of them...
