Throop Beat 3 7-11pm

After the promising signs of last night we set about the hike to the new swims.  Having fished the higher part (it is near a reed like wier) I decided to fish the lower part in the faster water at first.

Pete fished the far bank.  Literally on his first cast!  Then dropping into the water, very neatly.  I changed bait about 8.30 and flung the bait out near some reeds.  I asked Pete if he wanted some tea and was attempting to pour it out when zinnnnnnnnggg of went the line.  After a good fight I managed to bank my second double figure barbel of the season.  Again weighing in at just over 11lbs!

Pete and I fished on but he was not able to match his feat previously of landing when I caught the barbel.  What a great night!
